It's not only important to understand what quantities and type of air pollution is released into the air we breathe, but it is also important to understand how much air pollution is being released in each area to understand the potential accumulated affects and increased exposure for certain neighborhoods. In order to get this information, this project is seeking community volunteers to assist with confirming our list of businesses and thier locations, according to a map of each community. By doing this we will confirm an accurate list of all businesses and their locations within in each community, and will categorize companies that air pollution estimates can be made from. We hope to have this data entered into a GIS (Geographical Information System) format to allow for review of areas of higher concentration of air pollution and thus potential increased risk to those who live or work in those areas.
